Our students explore a dynamic, multidisciplinary program, choosing from courses in sociology, political science, 心理学, 哲学, forensic bioscience and criminal justice. 研究生s emerge with the critical thinking and analytical skills, a reflective worldview, and the flexibility to pursue graduate studies or enter the job market.

Choosing to specialize in one of our five tracks allows students to delve deeper into a specific path they’re passionate about: Law and Justice, Juvenile Justice, 心理健康, 社区 Corrections, and Technology and the Criminal Justice System.

The Long Island Criminal Justice Major Experience

Prepare for a Number of Professions: St. Joseph’s criminal justice alumni hold such careers as law enforcement officers, social workers, mental health counselors, 调查人员, juvenile caseworkers, 检察官, defense attorneys, professors and information security experts.

Experiential Learning: Seniors complete internships in such settings as probation departments, police departments, district attorney's offices, drug rehabilitation facilities, women's shelters, youth programs, courts and legal aid offices. We also offer other experiential learning and study abroad opportunities.

出国留学: Global study trips encourage a deeper understanding of cross-cultural criminal justice and law by encouraging students to immerse themselves in other cultures. Students can choose from weeklong faculty-led trips to a summer, semester or entire year abroad.
