Students are encouraged to focus on one specialization, but they do have the option to take an eclectic mix of all three. Our communication studies department is widely recognized for its focus on the practical experiences 和 internships that lead to meaningful 和 productive careers. Students will work closely in a small-class setting with our highly-credentialed faculty of respected 和 active practitioners in the field.

Gain the means for effective communication with a minor in speech. In addition to three required course, choose from electives that complement your major for a total of 18 credits. Acceptance of transfer credits is at the discretion of the chair or associate chair.

An 18-credit 剧院 minor is enhanced by the campus’ close proximity to the Brooklyn Academy of Music, as well as to Broadway 和 off-Broadway offerings. This minor provides an overview of 剧院 和 drama 和 gives students the opportunity to participate in drama productions.
